Sell Your PC – Returns & Warranty Policy

This policy follows the South African Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) and the Electronic Communications & Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECTA). Nothing here limits your statutory rights.


1. Your basic rights

  • Cooling-off period (online orders): You may cancel any online purchase within 7 calendar days of receiving it. You pay only the cost of returning the goods and a restocking fee (if applicable); we refund everything else within 30 days.

  • Six-month implied warranty: Every brand new product automatically carries a six-month warranty against defects. If something fails in that time you can demand a repair, replacement, or refund. Note that our Ts and Cs on electrical damage applies.


2. Category-specific terms

2.1 New PC equipment

  • 14-day return for change-of-mind if unused and in original packaging.

  • A restocking fee of up to 20% applies if seals are broken or accessories are missing.

  • Manufacturer warranty (usually 12–36 months) applies thereafter.

2.2 Used PC equipment with remaining warranty

  • 14-day change-of-mind return.

  • We disclose the warranty expiry date and help with any RMA paperwork.

  • Standard manufacturer terms apply.

  • Warranty above applicable, unless superseded by warranty specifications on your invoice. You implicitly accept the warranty noted on your invoice, prior to payment.

2.3 Used PC equipment without a verified warranty

  • 48-hour testing warranty: tell us within 48 hours of delivery if something is wrong and we will refund or replace, subject to our Terms and Condition.

2.4 Crypto ASIC miners – new

  • 14-day return if unused.

  • Manufacturer warranty (6 – 12 months typical).

  • If an RMA is required, the customer pays courier costs to the overseas repair centre.

  • We can quote for a local repair, but this voids the manufacturer warranty

  • A restocking fee of 20% applies to returned miners which were used.

2.5 Crypto ASIC miners – used

  • Warranty will be specified on your invoice - typically a 48 hour testing warranty is offered subject to Terms and Conditions as noted on your invoice.

  • Any remaining factory warranty will be disclosed; RMA freight is at the customer’s cost.

  • If out of warranty, we provide a 48-hour testing video guarantee.


3. What voids any warranty

  • Electrical damage, burnt boards, or evidence of power surges.

  • Removal or tampering with warranty or security stickers.

  • Opening the chassis without our written consent.

  • Installing custom or unofficial firmware.

  • Running miners above 2.5 kW on plugs or breakers below 30 A, using extension leads, or operating in hot, dusty, or humid environments.

  • Any form of modification to the component

4. Return procedure

  1. Log a ticket within the applicable window: complete the form on our Contact Us page with your order number, serial number, and fault description. Attach testing videos or kernel logs for miners.

  2. Receive an RMA number and shipping instructions (do not ship without it).

  3. Pack the item securely in the original box with all accessories and a copy of the invoice.

  4. Shipping options:

    • You arrange courier (own risk), or

    • We email a pre-paid label (deducted from your refund for change-of-mind returns); or

    • We can quote you a courier and arrange on your behalf
  5. Inspection: we assess within 72 hours of receipt. Approved refunds are processed within 5 business days; replacements ship free of charge.

If the fault is found to be user-induced, return freight and diagnostic costs revert to the customer.


5. Frequently asked questions

Can I return a working item after 14 days?
Only if it is still sealed; a restocking fee and courier both ways apply.

Who pays for shipping an ASIC miner overseas for warranty?
Industry standard is that the owner pays outbound and inbound freight. We handle paperwork.

What if my item arrives dead-on-arrival?
Notify us within 48 hours; we collect at our cost and replace or refund in full.
